Please join RMCSoft, Midwood Usability & Advent Coworking for this informative lunch & learn to explore what UX (User Experience) is and why it is a key tool for the success of any product or service.

In this event, our experts will provide an introduction to best practices, tools and processes to build a great user experience. We will provide insights on where to start your UX journey, discuss common mistakes in implementing UX into your organization, and share our own experiences championing UX in a variety of teams and organizations.

Meet the panel:

Kyle Mitchell, SelfieStyler, Inc.

Kyle brings a wealth of digital experience from startups to F100 companies, leading innovation and product strategy for global enterprise design, engineering, and delivery organizations. Currently, Kyle is the head of product for a fashion-technology startup, SelfieStyler.


Josh Buchanan, Kingsmen Software

Josh has spent more than 20 years managing digital experiences, products and organizations. He began his career building the web table by table and has grown up alongside the development of UX as a practice. He has lead UX design teams in all sorts of environments – small, large and in-between.


Steve Schang, Midwood Usability

Steve’s been doing usability research and UX design for 19 years. After serving 8 years in the Navy he got his MS in Information Studies from UT Austin, where he specialized in User Centered Design and Usability testing. Then he followed up with an MBA from Queens University, which helped him gain an understanding of how user experience works to support larger business goals. He has hands on experience usability testing 100’s of users and doing UX design for companies like USAA, Wells Fargo, Ally Bank, and Bank of America.


Scott Whitaker,

Scott is a creative, developer, and marketer who brings insight from past agency experience, start ups (such as TeleHealth Solution) and businesses. Thinking how user experience design engages the “brand” through different methods. From engaging usability forming ergonomic architecture and competent systems. To poking holes into reasoning of the norm… to find the next level of design, understanding and user relationship.
